"Polecats Are Go" was the first album by The Polecats. Originally released in 1981 by Mercury Records. The Polecats formed in the late 1970s. Originally named Cult Heroes before drummer Chris Hawkes suggested Polecats.

For those not in the know, The Cats consist of Tim Worman (a.k.a Tim Polecat, vocals), Martin "Boz" Boorer, (guitar and vocals), Phil Bloomberg (bass), and Chris Hawkes (drums). The album, produced by Dave Edmunds is often considered to be their best work and contains their biggest UK hits "John, I'm Only Dancing" and "Rockabilly Guy".

The band split so Box could concentrate on his work with Morrissey. But are back together for a reunion this year and will be playing European and UK dates throughout October and November 2006. and "Not Nervous" a album of early tracks will be reissued by home grown NV Records to coincide with the tour.
